The Reality of a Cosmic War

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is a drama of stories about Satan working to oppose and obstruct the purposes of God. As fresh revelation was passed down orally or penned by the prophets, Satan and his fallen angelic armies went about constructing their war plans for earth and its inhabitants, who they swore to only subjugate and dominate; never serve.

Follow with me as I outline only a few story lines where we can find Satan working to kill, destroy and corrupt the human line.

1. Genesis 3:  Satan succeeds in breaking man's perfect relationship with Yahweh; God promises and delivers redemption and restoration to all who exercise repentance and faith in Jesus. 
2. Genesis 6:  Satan sends some of his soldiers to corrupt the human genome. These fallen angels left their proper estate (2nd heaven), clothed themselves with flesh (changed shape and substance) and had sexual relations with women and animals to hybridize the human race (as well as creation in general) so the Messiah's blood line would become completely contaminated, and He would not be able to manifest as the Son of Man on earth "to crush the serpent's head." God responds with the Flood of Noah. Satan was allowed to get close to his goal, but Yahweh is able to make all things (even the impossible) new!
3. Genesis 11:  Satan raises up his newest version of the serpent's seed (see Genesis 3:15) post-flood in Nimrod. They succeed in causing the whole world to rebel against Yahweh at the Tower of Babel. Humanity is enslaved to do Satan's will until God intervenes to judge the world with the confusion of languages (so they would discontinue their work on their tower, a star gate into heaven) and enforced dispersion over the whole face of the earth. Out of the 70 nations and tongues created that day, Yahweh would choose only one group to be His peculiar and special people--the Hebrews. The other gentile nations were forfeited (for a prolonged season) and placed under fallen dominions and authorities to follow and be dominated by worthless "gods" which was part of the dispersion judgment of these peoples who rebelled with Nimrod. In essence, Yahweh's decision to invest and use one nation out of 70 was Him saying, Lucifer, let me totally stack the deck in your favor; you will still be crushed.
4. Exodus 5:  Satan uses Pharaoh and Egypt to oppress the growing Hebrew people with great cruelty. Male israelite babies have been sacrificed in the Nile due to a diabolical depopulation agenda perpetrated against Israel. Yahweh raises up His chosen leader, Moses. 10 great plagues of warning/judgment ultimately lead to Pharaoh agreeing to send Israel away into the wilderness. However, Satan's chosen representative on earth, against all good reason, decides to pursue Israel to wipe them out in the wilderness. Instead, God's judgment is sealed against them with the crushing power of the Red Sea drowning Pharaoh's forces.
5. Numbers 13:  During the 400 years that Israel spent growing as a nation under the yoke of slavery (only about 200 years actually spent in cruel forced labor) in Egypt, Satan's schemes focus in on the peoples (Canaanites - which makes for a fascinating story all its own) living in the land Yahweh promised Abraham. A minefield of mighty Nephilim reproduce there to await the arrival of Moses, Joshua and Caleb. The 10 spies along with Joshua and Caleb come back to give the Hebrew nation their report of the land. 2 reports are given. The 10 spies tell their nation what they saw, and by the time everyone digests their "evil" report, Joshua and Caleb have no chance to convince them to obey God's command to go in and wipe these Nephilim tribes out at once. The people were too busy quaking in fear and crapping their pants, and this came on the heels of just seeing Yahweh deliver them out of Egypt supernaturally with immeasurable power and majesty. God then forces His people to wander the wilderness for 40 years as a judgment for their cowardly lack of obedience. Once all the cowardly, disobedient men have fallen in the wilderness, Yahweh gives Joshua the green light to go in, totally destroy the Nephilim tribes and take possession of Israel's promised land. God put a demoralizing and paralyzing fear of His people into the hearts of these wicked hybrid tribes. Yahweh's hosts and servants assisted Israel with confusing and annihilating almost all of these satanic serpent seed. 

Now, it is difficult to miss the undeniable thread of Satan's moves and Yahweh's counter moves throughout the entire story. The whole Bible and all of history attest to the reality of this Cosmic War. It has been raging in the heavens and spilling over onto earth since Lucifer rebelled and took a third of the angels with him. 

Let's fast forward to our recent past and consider the Nazi movement of the 1930s and '40s. Can we find a satanic agenda in what Hitler was trying to accomplish on earth in those days? Was Hitler working as a willing and devoted representative of Satan in our recent past? Who was his primary target? Although the Jews were not dwelling in their homeland, Hitler waged a demonic holy war to hunt and exterminate them (along with stealing all their wealth to pile up funds for further conquest) everywhere his war machine tread. History is replete with anti-christ figures waging war with Israel to wipe them all out. It's a miracle of miracles that the Jewish people have been largely gathered back into their homeland in the last century. How did they survive? How did their culture and language survive such an extensive multi-millenia diaspora? 

Israel is again in deep trouble today. The Arab Spring nations threaten to wipe them off the map openly in the press. These incessant and real threats are hints, that at its core, Islam is not the peaceful religion our media would have us to believe it is. The will of Allah seems directly and diametrically opposed to that of Yahweh when it comes to the peace and security of His chosen people, Israel. (Special Note: Divine Judgment as outlined in Blessings/Curses of Deuteronomy 28 and Jesus' words upon entering Jerusalem during Passion Week notwithstanding). The truth is that sometimes Yahweh does use gentile nations to chasten and punish a people bent on rebelling against Him even against all their better judgment and vivid imagery of Deuteronomy 28. He allowed it with the Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians in recorded history.

Are conflicts in the Middle East today poised to fulfill more remaining Bible prophecy? Time will tell I suppose. And honestly, I don't think we will have to wait long to find out.

Disclaimer:  Much of the details listed above in points # 2 & 3 that you cannot find in the Bible were taken directly from 1 Enoch and the Book of Jasher (both apocryphal texts highly valued by the ancient Hebrews and Jews of Jesus' day). Jasher is validated by at least 3 explicit references in Old Testament documents. The highly mysterious and misunderstood New Testament book of Jude is largely a tribute and re-telling of 1 Enoch. Jude even quotes a verse from 1 Enoch verbatim at one point. 2 Peter 2:4 also gives 1 Enoch a clear shout-out to the fact that Jews in Jesus' day venerated the text profusely (to help understand the evils of the antediluvian world). Portions of both were also found amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls in Qumran.

References to things such as the 2nd heaven (or even 3rd heaven) can be verified and validated directly from Scripture. Many people believe that Satan's headquarters are in hell. That is not true. He and his fallen army are the princes and powers of the air. They dwell in the 2nd heaven. References to angels being able to shape shift, manipulate matter and interact with humans in our physical dimension are replete throughout Scripture.

The Significance of the Nephilim

So, why exactly is it so important to reclaim a proper understanding of the Days of Noah and the high strangeness that took place at that time (and after)?

Is this merely a peripheral issue or is it highly significant?

I agree with Chuck Missler in that one cannot understand major portions of the Old Testament and major prophetic issues (dating as far back as Genesis 3:15) unless you recognize the reality of this strange passage in Genesis 6:4. The passage says, "There were giants in the earth in those [Flood] days; and also after that." So there were some occurrences of this kind even after the Flood. In Genesis 14 and 15 and later in the Old Testament, certain tribes--the Rephaim, the Emim, the Horim, the Zamsummim--are Nephilim. Arba, Anak and his seven sons were the Anakim. (Learn the Bible in 24 Hours, Missler, pg. 26)

They were encountered in Canaan in Numbers 13 when Moses sent the 12 spies. The ten who came back terrified said, "There are giants in the land" (the word is Nephilim).

Og, the king of Bashan, is the King of the Giants in Deuteronomy 3 and Joshua 12. There are 5 explicit references to the Nephilim in chapters 1 - 5 of Deuteronomy.

The story of Goliath is unmistakably one about a descendant of the Nephilim among the Philistines. (1 Samuel 17)

Have you ever wondered why David took 5 smooth stones with him into his fight with Goliath? Your answer can be found in 2 Samuel 21. Goliath had 4 Gathite relatives (likely brothers); all giants. This is one of the most telling passages in Scripture about the strange physiological differences these giants exhibited in their bodies. 2 Samuel 21: 20 says, "And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant." If you read too fast, you can easily miss this astounding fact recorded in Scripture.

1 Chronicles 20: 5 - 6 details the same encounter outlined in 2 Samuel 21. The text says, "And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam. And yet again there was wear at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot and he also was the son of a giant."

Repetition in God's Word always equates to reinforcing that certain details are very important to note and remember. Another point worth mentioning here is that David's friends (like Elhanan) had so learned from him that they also became giant slayers!

Centuries later, Sioux and other Native American tribes claimed encountering giants in North America (presumably from the Amorites who managed to escape extermination at the hands of Joshua and Israel as they took possession of their Promised Land). The giants they claimed to encounter almost always had six fingers and six toes, leading to certain precautionary tribal customs in their hand signal greetings out of paranoia and fear of these mighty, monstrous hunters.

Now, is this an exhaustive look at all the references of the giants in the Bible? No, there are still yet other compelling references to giants in the Bible. Amos 2: 9 - 10 says, "Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite."

1 Chronicles 11: 22 - 23 details yet another account of a giant and two "lionlike men of Moab" among a pit on a snowy day.

I have provided 15 specific references to nephilim/giants in the Old Testament. I have not even referenced Nimrod from Genesis 10 and 11 at the Tower of Babel (until now). Scripture seems to hint that he somehow became or developed into a Nephilim or HaGibborim according to Genesis 10:8. His story (also partially told in the Epic of Gilgamesh) is just as deep, troubling and fascinating as the Days of Noah. The Book of Jasher is the best place to go for a more detailed narrative on this charismatic giant of many names responsible for the language/diaspora judgment of Babel. Could the spirit of this ancient Assyrian play a role in reviving the Nephilim in the last days (see Apollo's story in Revelation 9)? An interesting fact about him is that he was the world's first king/dictator of a one-world socioeconomic religious system of total rebellion. Does that sound familiar? He was the world's first anti-christ.

How fascinating, mysterious and incredible is the Bible? I hope that my coverage of some of these murkier subjects has ignited or revived a greater desire in you to daily mine the treasure readily available (but often hidden) in HIStory.

If you're not certain about the significance of this topic yet, please understand that the world has an insatiable hunger for regaining the esoteric knowledge of the ancients. Occult activity is burgeoning to unprecedented levels! If the Church continues to refuse to engage or lead the culture on these topics, we will continue to become even more irrelevant (if that were really possible). Consider briefly the following 21st Century evidences...

1. History Channel's Ancient Aliens on its 5th Season (creating new believers in "aliens" every day)
2. The intellectual giant, Richard Dawkins, has been recorded speculating as to plausibility of the Ancient Astronaut theory for the seeding of this planet in his debates against those who support intelligent design. In other words, the Annunaki or aliens traveled intergalactic space and stepped into our world in the ancient past to alter or tamper with our distant ancestors' genetic code to create modern man. He seems to surmise there is some kind of evidence for alien mischief in our past. He just won't call them what the Bible does. 
3. Hollywood pumps out more of this type of material to condition its audience to the normalization of the hybrid/eugenics/transhumanist agenda. Five explicit examples from the past five years follow below:

• Lucy
• Transcendence
• Avatar 
• Elysium

There is a sinister satanic agenda behind all of these pop culture trends. It has infiltrated every sector of society. People are being conditioned to welcome some really strange stuff in the not-too-distant future. We already have invited or remained indifferent to unthinkable atrocities on the earth. It's happened before in the past, most notably in the Days of Noah, and it will happen again.

That which has been is that which will be,
That which has been done is that which will be done.
So there is nothing new under the sun.
(Ecclesiastes 1:9)

Decoding the Days of Noah Continued...

As the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:37). What a strange and cryptic remark. What was it exactly about the Days of Noah that caused Jesus to single it out as the period of history to put under the microscope to properly understand the truly last days leading up to the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord?

Most people do not fully understand the Flood of Noah because they have no grasp of the real problem it was sent to resolve. There was much more to the Flood of Noah than simply a lot of water:  There was a major discontinuity; much greater than simply the sinfulness of man.

Genesis 6: 1 - 2 is a single sentence. It says, "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

The understanding of this passage hangs on the Hebrew term that has been translated "sons of God," Bene HaElohim. In the Old Testament this term refers exclusively to angels. Many similar terms are used for other things, but this specific term always refers to a direct creation of God, and it alludes to angels whom we find in Job chapters 1, 2, 38 and other places. (We also find it in the New Testament, specifically in Luke 20:36).

Perhaps our most authoritative source is the Greek translation of the Old Testament from the 3rd century B.C., known as the Septuagint. Greek is a very precise language, and the seventy scholars who produced the Septuagint (a fancy word for seventy) help us understand the Hebrew from which it was translated. The Septuagint clearly translates this term as "angels."

Another important phrase is "the daughters of men" (benoth adam). They are the daughters of Adam, not just the daughters of Cain.

Genesis 6:4 says, "There were Nephilim in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." The word "Nephilim" means "the fallen ones." It comes from a verb, "to fall away," "to cast down," or "desert." These were the hybrids that resulted from the mischief between the fallen angels and human women. Another unusual term, "the mighty ones," the HaGibborim, is mentioned here. That was translated into the Greek Septuagint as gigantes, which does not mean "giant" but "earth-born," from the Greek gigas. Although the word is translated into English as "giants"--and they did happen to be very large--it is not true to the original text. This has caused a lot of confusion.

Later, in Genesis 6:9, we read, "These are the generations of Noah:  Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." The word perfect is a term to mean "without blemish," "sound," "healthful," "without spot," or "unimpaired." It is always used with regard to physical defects. The Scripture is telling us that Noah was distinctive in that his genealogy was not blemished.

As we begin to put this together, it leads us to the strange idea that there were fallen angels that, somehow, began this strange business of generating a hybrid group called "Nephilim." This bizarre view is confirmed in the New Testament in Jude 6 - 7: "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." Jude made an allusion to these events in Genesis 6 and clearly he was writing about angels who, for whatever reason, went after "strange flesh."

Peter, in his second letter, chapter 2: 4 - 5, also says, "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; and spared not the old world, but saved Noah…" Peter wrote much the same thing as Jude, but he even tied it specifically to the days of Noah. He also used a term for hell that was only used in the New Testament: tartarus, a term used in Greek literature for "a dark abode of woe" or "a pit of darkness of the unseen world." In Homer's Iliad, it is thought to be as far below Hades as the earth is below heaven.  (Learn the Bible in 24 Hours, Missler, pgs. 26 - 27)


My next couple of entries will postulate exactly why understanding the true events of Noah's Flood is so vitally important, especially in the last days.

Transhumanism, Eugenics and Genetically-Modified Organisms

The 3 Main Goals of the Transhumanist movement:

1. Extend Life
2. Enhance Intelligence
3. Be "god"

Does any of that sound familiar? This sounds exactly like three lies found in Genesis 3.

The Days of Noah have arrived. Not sure? Are you curious what the Days of Noah were really like leading up to Yahweh's determination to drown the entire world save Noah's immediate family?

Could any of this material factor into the strong delusion or great deception Jesus spoke of for the last days? I know how I would answer that question, but what do you think? 

Why is this Subject so Important?

Time will soon tell if people like this Bible teacher or me (for that matter) are totally nuts. I'll gladly bear such a reproach if I'm able to expose things which are bound to happen and come openly upon the earth before their appointed season.

Actually, my last sentence is a bit misleading because we have already seen this type of genetic tampering result in the mass homicide of millions of souls only 50 - 70 years ago with the Nazi eugenics movement. Hitler was after a diabolical vision to create a perfect Aryan super race to establish a millennial kingdom. I wonder where he got his inspiration and marching orders from to pursue something so sinister under state approval. Thank God his reign of terror only lasted 12 years, but we still have to wrestle with the reality that any of those very real atrocities actually took place. The amount of propaganda, lies and deception required to pull off the Holocaust was staggering when you really think about it.

How often do we consider the implications and forces behind a state-endorsed abortion movement which has claimed 55+ million souls in the civilized United States and over a billion worldwide in the last century?!

History seems bound to repeat itself. How long will the Church slumber with all these things going on? One thing I am thankful for is that in the midst of such chaos God always preserves a mighty remnant. I will seek to be numbered among them. The days for playing church and having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof need to end (II Tim 3:5). We won't be able to stand firm in the days ahead unless we obey the voice of Jesus to the Laodicean Church in Revelation 3: 14 - 22.

The Days of Noah According to Enoch...

Before Enoch was translated (raptured) off the earth and taken directly to heaven without tasting death, he witnessed some truly bizarre events in the days of Jared and Noah. This scribe of righteousness even wrote about these things, and I have recently discovered that Jesus and His contemporaries valued his first installment (1 Enoch) as truth. 1 Enoch was discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran, and it has always remained in tact within the Ethiopian Coptic Church's set of Scriptures. Hmm, I wonder if this could be connected to the work of the Ethiopian eunuch that Philip won to the Lord? It's an intriguing thought, but I digress.

The Book of Jude references this text many times and even quotes directly from 1 Enoch verbatim. (Maybe our forfeiture and rejection of 1 Enoch is what makes Jude so mysterious and difficult to understand. It ought not to be as you are soon to find out). The proof:

Enoch 1:9 And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones to execute judgement upon all,
And to destroy all the ungodly:
And to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed,
And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. (See Jude 1: 14 - 15)

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.


Now, let me share the Days of Noah narrative with you as told from Yahweh's closest friend and most faithful witness. Before I do that, check out what Enoch had to say about the target audience and purpose of his writings. I get chills sometimes when I meditate on these words!

1 Enoch: Chapter 1

1 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. 

2 And he took up his parable and said--Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come. 

1 Enoch:  Chapter 6

1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
2 And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.'
3 And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.'
4 And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.'
5 Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
6 And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
7 And these are the names of their leaders: Sêmîazâz, their leader, Arâkîba, Râmêêl, Kôkabîêl, Tâmîêl, Râmîêl, Dânêl, Êzêqêêl, Barâqîjâl, Asâêl, Armârôs, Batârêl, Anânêl, Zaqîêl, Samsâpêêl, Satarêl, Tûrêl, Jômjâêl, Sariêl. 8. These are their chiefs of tens.

1 Enoch:  Chapter 7

1 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 

2 And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: 

3 Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, 

4 the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. 

5 And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. (scientists are hybridizing the human genome today as in the Days of Noah!!! - the implications of this will soon be felt and seen).

6 Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.

1 Enoch:  Chapter 8

1 And Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures.
2 And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl taught astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Ezêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun, and Sariêl the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven.

1 Enoch:  Chapter 9

1 And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven and saw much blood being shed upon the earth, and all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth. 

2 And they said one to another: 'The earth made without inhabitant cries the voice of their crying up to the gates of heaven.' 

3 And now to you, the holy ones of heaven, the souls of men make their suit, saying, Bring our cause before the Most High.

4 And they said to the Lord of the ages: 'Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings, and God of the ages, the throne of Thy glory (standeth) unto all the generations of the ages, and Thy name holy and glorious and blessed unto all the ages! 

5 Thou hast made all things, and power over all things hast Thou: and all things are naked and open in Thy sight, and Thou seest all things, and nothing can hide itself from Thee. 

6 Thou seest what Azâzêl hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were preserved in heaven, which men were striving to learn: 

7 And Semjâzâ, to whom Thou hast given authority to bear rule over his associates. 

8 And they have gone to the daughters of men upon the earth, and have slept with the women, and have defiled themselves, and revealed to them all kinds of sins. 

9 And the women have borne giants, and the whole earth has thereby been filled with blood and unrighteousness. 

10 And now, behold, the souls of those who have died are crying and making their suit to the gates of heaven, and their lamentations have ascended: and cannot cease because of the lawless deeds which are wrought on the earth. 

11 And Thou knowest all things before they come to pass, and Thou seest these things and Thou dost suffer them, and Thou dost not say to us what we are to do to them in regard to these.

1 Enoch:  Chapter 10

1 Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: 

2 'Go to Noah and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. (remember how few were found righteous, watching and worthy to escape this dress rehearsal for the Great Day of the Lord; Will the Son of Man find real faith on the earth when He returns?)

3 And now instruct him that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.' 

4 And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azâzêl hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dûdâêl, and cast him therein. 

5 And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light. 

6 And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. 

7 And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons. 

8 And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azâzêl: to him ascribe all sin.' (fascinating that the Hebrews would send the scapegoat out to Azazel in the wilderness every year to atone for and remove the nation's sins)

9 And to Gabriel said the Lord: 'Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy the children of fornication and the children of the Watchers from amongst men and cause them to go forth: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in battle: for length of days shall they not have. 

10 And no request that they (i.e. their fathers) make of thee shall be granted unto their fathers on their behalf; for they hope to live an eternal life, and that each one of them will live five hundred years.' 

11 And the Lord said unto Michael: 'Go, bind Semjâzâ and his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves with them in all their uncleanness. 

12 And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated. 

13 In those days they shall be led off to the abyss of fire: and to the torment and the prison in which they shall be confined for ever. 

14 And whosoever shall be condemned and destroyed will from thenceforth be bound together with them to the end of all generations. 

15 And destroy all the spirits of the reprobate and the children of the Watchers, because they have wronged mankind. (Book of Jubilees later explains the origin of demons and how Mastema (Satan) was able to get Yahweh to agree that 10% of these Nephilim spirits should remain on the earth)

16 Destroy all wrong from the face of the earth and let every evil work come to an end: and let the plant of righteousness and truth appear: and it shall prove a blessing; the works of righteousness and truth shall be planted in truth and joy for evermore. 

17 And then shall all the righteous escape, and shall live till they beget thousands of children, and all the days of their youth and their old age shall they complete in peace.

18 And then shall the whole earth be tilled in righteousness, and shall all be planted with trees and be full of blessing.
19 And all desirable trees shall be planted on it, and they shall plant vines on it: and the vine which they plant thereon shall yield wine in abundance, and as for all the seed which is sown thereon each measure (of it) shall bear a thousand, and each measure of olives shall yield ten presses of oil.
20 And cleanse thou the earth from all oppression, and from all unrighteousness, and from all sin, and from all godlessness: and all the uncleanness that is wrought upon the earth destroy from off the earth. 21 And all the children of men shall become righteous, and all nations shall offer adoration and shall praise Me, and all shall worship Me. And the earth shall be cleansed from all defilement, and from all sin, and from all punishment, and from all torment, and I will never again send (them) upon it from generation to generation and for ever.'

1 Enoch: Chapter 12

1 Before these things Enoch was hidden, and no one of the children of men knew where he was hidden, and where he abode, and what had become of him.
2 And his activities had to do with the Watchers, and his days were with the holy ones.
3 And I, Enoch was blessing the Lord of Majesty and the King of the Ages, and lo! the Watchers called me--Enoch the scribe--and said to me:
4 'Enoch, thou scribe of righteousness, go, declare to the Watchers of the heaven who have left the high heaven, the holy eternal place, and have defiled themselves with women, and have done as the children of earth do, and have taken unto themselves wives: Ye have wrought great destruction on the earth:
5 And ye shall have no peace nor forgiveness of sin: and inasmuch as they delight themselves in their children,
6 The murder of their beloved ones shall they see, and over the destruction of their children shall they lament, and shall make supplication unto eternity, but mercy and peace shall ye not attain.'


I wonder if anyone's mind was just blown (if you were able to get through this entire post). I know that mine was the first time I read through Enoch's account of the Days of Noah. Once we rightly understand the extent of the heinous, unnatural evil done in those days, it's so much clearer to see that Yahweh's actions in sending the Flood represent salvation, grace and mercy towards His creation, principally man. Skeptics and critics love to point to the Flood and the wiping out of Nephilim tribes (which are disguised and not recognized as such without a proper interpretation of Genesis 6: 1-4) in the Levant to cast Yahweh as a capricious, genocidal psychopath, but that is just not true! These people do not have the whole (strange and bizarre) story. Now, thanks to the immense readership of this blog, a few more do. :)
